Meet the Team

Dr. Mark Hale, Lead/Founding Pastor
As the Lead Pastor, Dr. Mark Hale serves as the primary teacher on Sunday mornings. Pastor Mark is a 26 year ministry veteran who is passionate about God, family, and the church. Along with a handful of people, he planted Thrive in 2007.
Growing up outside Detroit, Michigan, Mark, his parents and three older brothers became true followers of Christ in 1986. That conversion was followed by God calling Mark into full-time ministry. He followed that call and prepared for ministry by attending Olivet Nazarene University, Asbury Theological Seminary and completing a Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University. Mark married his college sweetheart, Lisa, and they have shared their life together for the past 27 years. Four children make the Hale home complete!
Isaac Hale, Grafton Campus Pastor and Grand Forks Youth Pastor
Isaac Hale grew up in the Grand Forks area and has attended Thrive for the entirety of its existence. Isaac attended college at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and earned a degree in Christian Education. He served with various youth ministries throughout his college years and spent the last two years at the University of North Dakota completing a Master’s degree in Higher Education. While recently feeling pulled toward full-time ministry, Isaac received an opportunity to serve at Thrive and is now serving as Thrive’s Youth Pastor and Campus Pastor for the Grafton Campus. This is his first position in full-time ministry, and he is incredibly excited to see how God wants to use him!
Bobby Weinert, Family Pastor

Bobby Weinert originally grew up in Audubon, MN. He moved to Grand Forks, ND from Denver, CO. Bobby graduated from Oak Hills Bible college with a degree in Biblical Studies and Business Management. He was called to ministry in high school, but felt God was telling him after college to wait to enter full time ministry. Bobby has been involved and has led several ministries over the years on a volunteer basis. He ultimately received God’s prompting to enter full time ministry in the summer of 2017. When the opportunity to serve at Thrive presented itself, Bobby joined the team as the Family Pastor. Bobby and his wife have four children, three girls and one boy, and are excited to see how God will use them and what He will do with the children and families at Thrive!

Alexandria Stroh, Communications and Welcome Ministry Director
Alexandria Stroh is from Fargo, ND and has served in the church since she was young, starting with her home church in Fargo; Prairie Heights Community Church. As an eight year old, Alexandria attended Thrive’s inaugural service as PHCC helped plant Thrive back in 2006. Since attending PHCC, an on-campus ministry called Cru and other various non-profits and ministries throughout her life, she has experience in youth ministry, worship ministry, and other communication oriented responsibilities in the church.
She found her niche while attending the University of North Dakota. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design Technology, and Writing, Editing, and Publishing through the English department, Alexandria’s mission is to use her hard skills for God, and Thrive is the place to see that come to life.

She is passionate about using music as a vehicle for connecting with teenagers, encouraging her students to find joy and confidence through their musical activities. Mandy is currently pursuing a PhD in Music Education from the University of North Dakota, and hopes to work with music education majors in the future. She loves coffee dates with close friends; travel to interesting places; reading good books, and eating high quality chocolate.
